CDI Hosts Feed the Need Event

On Saturday, April 18, forty-nine volunteers gathered for a “Feed the Need” packing party as the capstone event of our spring fundraiser. Among the volunteers were ROGMA staff and board members, students from Bob Jones University and members of several local churches. Following a free breakfast provided by BJU Dining Services, we packed over 10,000 meals in just under three hours! The meals are formulated to provide just the right nourishment for undernourished children in Haiti.

As you can see, all workers were required to wear hairnets due to government (OSHA) regulations. There were smiles and cheers as each box of meals was packed. Everyone had a great attitude and a great time! We sincerely appreciate all the volunteers who served.

Approximately half of the meals will go to the ministry of Pastor Dieupie Cherubin (www.missionforhaiti.org) who will distribute the food to children and families his team is currently discipling in and near Jacmel, Haiti. The rest of the food will go to orphanages in Port-au-Prince. A team, including at least one ROGMA staff member, will be traveling to Haiti in August to personally help deliver the meals and serve among the people.

Thank you for supporting this project through service, fundraising, prayer and financial contributions. Not only will these meals go to meet the physical needs of these people, but these meals will also provide opportunities to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in order to meet the more important spiritual needs in Haiti.
